Melvin's ATV Parts & Accessories Ltd has been the Southern Shore's outdoor adventure store for a long time — selling the machines, fixing the machines, and keeping the parts on the shelf for the ones already out there.
A shop on the shore, not a chain
We're a family owned and operated business in Tors Cove, serving the Southern Shore from Witless Bay to Trepassey, and most of what we know about riding on this shore we learned the same way our customers did — on it.
That's the whole reason the shop is shaped the way it is. Sales, service, parts, financing and rentals are all in the same building, because the thing that actually matters to somebody buying a machine in rural Newfoundland isn't the showroom. It's whether there'll be someone to fix it, and whether the part will be on a shelf within driving distance when it breaks on a long weekend.
We're an authorized dealer for Argo, HiSun, TGB and Arctic Cat, and we carry outdoor power equipment from Stihl, Husqvarna, Echo and DeWalt. We ship island-wide, and when a machine arrives we walk the customer through it rather than leaving them with a crate and a manual.

You'll deal with a person
Phone the shop and somebody who knows the machines answers. There's no queue and no script.
We stand behind it
A customer once brought back a chainsaw two years after buying it. We replaced it. We'd do it again.
We fix what we sell
Buying somewhere that can't service the machine is a false economy, and we've seen where it ends.
We'll get it to you
Island-wide shipping, and a proper walk-through of the machine when it lands.
Straight numbers
The price is the machine. Freight, PDI, licence and taxes are extra, and we'll say so before you commit.

- Bought my husband a chainsaw for Farther’s day in 2019.. two years later when he went to use it, there was an oil leak. Brought it back and there were no questions asked as they could tell that the chainsaw never left the case since the day it left the store and still had the invoice inside (full of oil). Just over a month ago, we decided to get a 4 wheeler. We called around to a few places, and Melvin’s had a 700 on the floor that was received two days before. Lucky for us the customer who ordered it didn’t like the colour. We didn’t care about the colour, and with the global supply chain shortages, ATVs are hard to come by. It is a 700, 2 up, and is perfect for our family. Service was excellent, they even delivered it to our home… and gave us both a quick overview of the bike. Really happy with the service we have received from Melvin’s.
If we get any significant amounts of snow next winter, we will be back to get a blade.
